Native American members of the Denver chapter of White Buffalo Council held a pow-wow at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
The event was a regular occurrence, this one was in 1976. One year later an agreement was reached with the City of Denver for a permanent site to host Native American gatherings, the Tall Bull Memorial Grounds near Daniels Park.
