The shipment of all the backdrops and props arrived at the ballet studio from St. Petersburg, Russia, Friday, October 24, 2003.The 2003 Nutcracker features all new sets designed by Alain Vaes, a French set designed who worked with Ron Cunningham for the project. The new sets were delivered from St. Petersburg, Russia and Mr. Vaes and Ron were in the Sacramento Community Center to oversee the installation. The sets arrived at the Sacramento Ballet studio, October 24, 2003; the sets were brought to the Community Center Theatre, November 28, 2003.
