Need In the Midst of Plenty: Hunger in California, a project for the Sacramento Bee in 1986-87.

David Bradley works at the Campus Commons Car Wash on Fair Oaks Blvd in Sacramento. He works as long as the weather is suitable but the $3.35/hour wage along with his wife's income from a similar minimum wage job in a convalescent home are barely enough for the family to meet their expenses.
