The "mighty" Colorado River, reduced to nearly a trickle, flows into the beginning of Lake Powell in Utah at the eastern end of the lake, Friday, March 14, 2003. The inflow was measured at 5,000 cfs (cubic feet per second) while at the outflow end of the lake at the Glen Canyon Dam the water was being released at 12,800 cfs. Lake Powell, already at 90 feet below a full pool continues to drop a foot every 4 to 5 days.
