JANUARY 1997 FLOOD BRIDGE DAMAGE

In the back country of Yosemite National Park many bridges were damaged or simply washed away during the January 2, 1997 flooding in the Park's rivers. The flooding on the Merced River nearly destroyed this bridge on the Muir Trail between Vernal and Nevada Falls.
