A single car crash on E 1st Avenue and Race Sts. adjacent to the Denver Country Club. A female driver hit a tree causing the car to erupt in flames. Denver Fire Department firefighters responded and extricated the woman. She was later pronounced dead at Denver General Hospital. The cause of the accident was suspected to be a suicide.
