The group sport called "Paintball Games" gained popularity in the mid-1980's. The game involves two teams stalking and attacking each other with air powered pistols that shot balls of paint rather than bullets. If you got splattered you were eliminated. This competition was held in the Bernheim Forest south of Louisville in 1984.
