The Colorado State Home and Training School, also known as Ridge Home was also known as the Home for Mental Defectives. Located In Arvada, CO. the institution housed mentally ill adults and children. In 1974 a Christmas party for some of the kids was held. Each one received a few pieces of fresh fruit. Ridge Home closed in 1992 and the buildings were torn down.
